Our role in this society is to try and express what we all feel. Not to tel people how to feel not as a preacher, not as leader, but as a reflection of us all. We all know our role in this society yet we are unaware of of the things happening around us. Bharavase is an entity for this society, our fist conversation was about a old lady sitting on footpath selling pens, when she was ready to risk everything to lead a normal life, just for filling her stomach, just trying to earn for her life, that made us to think about the purpose of our Life. We decided to do good for people, not for everybody but for those who are trying their everything just to survive.
We wanted to be that "BHARAVASE (HOPE)" in Their life. Our first conversation after starting the organisation was about aged street vendors and we went to K.R.market to check the ground reality. we heard such inspiring stories about their life and their secret to move on from every obstacle they face. To thank them and support them we issued sweaters to them.
During the pandemic our team worked day and night to do our best and help people with their needs. During these hard times we tried everything we could to arrange them from foods to hospital beds. We have provided more than 1000 ration kits and food kits to everybody on roads during lockdown.
The summers are getting hotter and winters are getting cooler day by day. However in this climate there are a set of people who have to do their jobs to keep the smooth flow of the society. This set includes the traffic police, daily wage workers in railways, post office and bbmp workers and many more. This summer when most of them had the privilege to stay under fans or AC’s some jobs require the workers to be under the heat sweating for our sakes. To appreciate such class of workers and to show them that we are grateful to them, team Bharavase distributed chilled buttermilk and cool drinks in several parts of Bangalore which not only brought happiness on their faces but also got the team warm blessings
According to Hindu mythology, cows are considered to be holy mother, hence Team Bharavase decided to kick start the year by celebrating the festival of Sankranthi in a Goshala as it is the 1st festival of the calendar year.
The Goshala had almost 40 plus cows with a beautiful surrounding along with a mesmerizing Radha-Krishna idol.
As it was a festive day, we started the day with a positive note by cleaning the place and making it colorful with flowers. The priest performed a special pooja in the name of Team Bharavase. We prepared lunch for the cows by cutting the bananas and crushing the jaggery. Along with this we offered some organic dry grass to the cows.
The members and volunteers had an individual bonding with the cows.

Bharavase, this beautiful word from Kannada means Hope. And, just as the word means, we at Bharavase org have made a promise to the society and ourselves to constantly shine the light of good hope to those in need and have been keeping it ever since the birth of the organisation.
