December 2019
Bharavase was born
Not in a boardroom - but on the streets of Bengaluru. A small group of passionate people come together with one shared dream: to be a light of hope. No budget. No office. Just purpose.
Six years. One movement. From a single street in Bengaluru to a statewide network of hope - this is how Bharavase grew.
December 2019
Not in a boardroom - but on the streets of Bengaluru. A small group of passionate people come together with one shared dream: to be a light of hope. No budget. No office. Just purpose.
2020
When the pandemic brought the city to its knees, Bharavase stepped forward. Thousands of daily-wage workers and migrant families received meals. Children in slum communities were taught when schools shut. Street dogs were fed as the city emptied. A movement tested early - it did not flinch.
July 2021
7th July - Official registration under the Karnataka State Registration and Stamps Department, formalising what the community already knew: this was real, and built to last. Environmental work intensifies: massive plantation drives take root across the city, one sapling at a time.
2022
A new chapter begins. Programmes on cancer awareness, cleanliness, voter education, and community health take Bharavase into conversations that matter most - and into the communities that need them most.
2024
Bharavase grows its network significantly - forging partnerships with colleges, hospitals, fellow NGOs, and corporates. A volunteer group becomes a coordinated statewide ecosystem of changemakers with shared resources and multiplied impact.
2025
The year Bharavase comes fully into its own. All five pillars launch as structured, active programmes - five dimensions of human need, one movement, thousands of lives touched.
2026 & Beyond
Bharavase continues to grow - deepening programmes, forging new partnerships, expanding geographic reach, and writing chapters yet to be imagined.
